Professor Annabelle Mark

Annabelle Mark is Professor Emerita of Healthcare Organisation at Middlesex University and was Director 2004-2012 of the award winning UK NHS General Management Training Scheme - Human Resource Management specialism, run by Middlesex for the NHS.

After an earlier ten year career in the NHS she moved to academia in the mid 80s; she is the founding Chair and a Trustee of the Society for Studies in Organising Healthcare (SHOC), a learned society of the UK Academy of Social Sciences and founding academic of the international biennial conference Organisational Behaviour in Healthcare, editing the associated book series for Palgrave.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and the UK Institute of Healthcare Management and currently Visiting Professor at Griffith University Australia where she has co-authored a special edition of the Journal Leadership with her colleague Professor Liz Fulop on Leading in healthcare - foregrounding context : 2013 9(2).
